George Jardine on Lightroom 3 Workflow

Former Adobe Evangelist George Jardine has announced his new Lightroom 3 workflow and management video tutorials. George was the original Lightroom video guy from the early days of Lightroom and is both a gifted photographer and great educator. This course is 4 1/2 hours long, over 15 different videos, and dives deeply into the Library.

Keyword list creation outside Lightroom

If you are creating a new Catalog or brand new Lightroom system, you may have a set of Keywords that you have used in other applications or even a set you had left over from your archive of negatives or transparencies.

You might find that it is simpler to create or edit your Keyword list outside of Lightroom to speed up the process, especially if you need to create a complex list.

Photomatix Export plug-in

Just released recently from HDR Soft is a plug-in that allows you to export photos from Lightroom directly to Photomatix Pro and automatically reimport the processed tone mapped HDR image back into the Lightroom catalog. To use this plug-in you will need to download and purchase the latest version of Photomatix Pro which includes the export plug-in and instructions on how to install in Lightroom for Mac and PC. Here is an initial test I carried out that shows how the plug-in works in Lightroom after installing.
