LR/Enfuse 4.00

Timothy Armes has released version 4.00 of his very popular LR/Enfuse plugin.

This plugin can be used to blend multiple exposures of a scene in order to create an image with greater apparent dynamic range. Exposure blending is similar to HDR, but the results are most often far more natural.

Here are the highlights:

-LR/Enfuse now uses (and requires) Enfuse version 4. This is the latest version of Enfuse and offers niceties such as multi-processor support for improved performance.
-The installation procedure has been greatly simplified. Users no longer need to download and install the third party applications themselves, the plugin can do this for them.
-LR/Enfuse now supports blending of focus stacks!
This plugin is donationware and may be downloaded from the Photographer’s Toolbox.

TTG HIGHSLIDE GALLERY PRO 2.0.5 RELEASED, WITH PASSWORD PROTECTION

Matthew Campagna at The Turning Gate has released version 2.0.5 of his popular TTG Highslide Gallery Pro web engine for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. This new version features several improvements over the previous release, including the ability to password protect image galleries.

Using the new password protection controls, a Username and Password combination may be designated from within Lightroom’s Web module. Visitors will be prompted to login when attempting to access protected galleries on the web. Password protection has been much requested by users, and should be an excellent tool when posting client galleries, wedding galleries or sensitive images to the web. A PHP-enabled web-server is required to use this new feature.

TTG PAGES 3.7.1 NOW AVAILABLE, INCLUDING NEW SLIDESHOW FEATURE

TTG Pages 3.7.1 is now available for download from The Turning Gate. The major feature of this release is the new slideshow feature, which allows users to display a Javascript-based slideshow on the front page of their website. Because the slideshow is built using Javascript, not Flash, it will display in web browsers without the need of special plugins, and also on Apple’s iPhone and iPad. A new demonstration video shows the new feature in action.

The release also includes an option to disable the browser’s right-click menu, discouraging casual theft of page content. Several new control options have been added, as well as many improvements under-the-hood. To view the full changelog, please visit The Turning Gate.

TTG Pages 3.7.1 is a free upgrade to existing users. New users may purchase TTG Pages for $25.

Keyword Master Plugin for Lightroom 3 (Updated)

Lightroom 3 has given plugin writers more access to the database than Lightroom 2 provided, and Timothy Armes has already taken advantage of this with the release of his new plugin - Keyword Master.

Keyword Master is a powerful keywording assistant for Adobe Lightroom 3. Photographers who sell their work on-line understand the high importance of good keywording – if your images aren’t keyworded properly then they won’t be found by potential buyers.

The problem with keywording is that it’s a long and laborious process. It’s hard to think of keywords, and it’s time consuming to type them in. Keyword Master helps to relieve these issues by providing photographers with a tool to help them harvest keywords from other sources.

The concept is simple – search for similar images on-line and cut and paste the keywords you find into Keyword Master. Keyword Master significantly improves your workflow by automatically removing any formatting and punctuation, thus extracting the keywords from the text. Common words and duplicates are removed.

This will give the photographer a fantastic starting point to work from. It’s much quicker and easier to start with a bunch of keywords and then remove the irrelevant ones than it is to create new ones from scratch.

Timothy hopes to expand this plugin to provide other keyword related features and he’s happy to hear from users with particular needs that they’d like to address.

Update: Following feedback from LRN readers Timothy Armes has updated his new Keyword Master plugin in order to offer Lightroom 2 users a taste of what they’re missing.

Lightroom 2 users can use the plugin’s most crucial feature – keyword gathering. Once the keywords are gathered they’ll have to be applied to images manually by copying and pasting the list into the Keywording pane – a quick and painless process.

TTG HIGHSLIDE GALLERY PRO 2.0.1 NOW AVAILABLE

TTG Highslide Gallery Pro 2.0.1 is a maintenance release fixing several reported issues that had slipped through the 2.0 testing process. These bugs include page layout and browser compatibility fixes, and additional fool-proofing to prevent gallery breakage by enabling conflicting features. A new slider in the E-Commerce options also allows the user to adjust the length of time the shopping cart persists after the shopper mouses-out of the cart.

This update is recommended for all users of previous versions. Existing galleries should be updated using 2.0.1 to benefit from layout fixes. When upgrading the web engine, users should first remove the previous version before installing the update.

Version 2.0.1 fixes all known issues at this time; with any luck, further bug-fix updates will not be necessary.
