TTG AUTO INDEX CE RELEASED

February 19, 2011 – The Turning Gate has released the next major update to its gallery indexing plugin for Lightroom’s Web module, TTG Auto Index CE.

TTG Auto Index CE creates a self-populating table of contents of your image galleries, a gallery index. You upload a gallery, the index adds an entry automatically. Organizing your image galleries, and keeping your website up-to-date with your latest image collections is easy with TTG Auto Index CE.

The only product of its kind, TTG Auto Index CE is a must-have web engine for any photographer using Lightroom to create web photo galleries. Whether you produce a single index or many, flexible layouts, extensive customization options and unprecedented extensibility features ensure a wealth of creative possibilities for your websites.

Built upon The Turning Gate’s new “Core Elements” framework, TTG Auto Index CE supports unparalleled customization options, including CSS3-powered background images, drop-shadows, rounded corners, gradient backgrounds and more, as well as several new, flexible layout options. The classic ‘Descriptive’ and ‘Iconic’ index layouts return from previous versions, and are joined by the new ‘Iconic, Entitled’ layout, and the text-based layouts ‘Text-Box’ and ‘Text-Only’, useful for indexing content which may not be gallery-related, such as an auto index managed links page. Layouts also include options for custom header, site navigation menu and footer design, including social networking options for your Facebook, Twitter, Model Mayhem and other profiles.

While the intent of TTG Auto Index CE is to allow anyone to publish their work to the web with minimal effort and no design experience, experienced web-designers may take advantage of The Turning Gate’s PHP Hooks extensibility features to take complete control over page design and functionality, adding widgets, changing the appearance, or managing page content site-wide from a single source.

The Turning Gate has released version 3.1.5 of its TTG Stage CE web-engine, with new embed support for image galleries managed by Slideshow Director Pro.

TTG Stage CE creates embed pages — containers — for Flash image gallery and web video content in a style consistent with the rest of your website, featuring playback support on mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPad and Android phones for all embedded content.

The full list of embed-supported Flash galleries includes Autoviewer, DIMIN Slideshow, Flashnifties, Lightroom Flash Gallery, Monoslideshow, Polaroid Gallery, Postcardviewer, Simpleviewer v1 and v2, Slideshow Pro and galleries being managed by Slideshow Pro Director.

TTG Stage CE supports video embedding for YouTube and Vimeo hosted videos, as well has embed support for locally hosted videos using JW Player or HTML5 playback methods.

Custom content may also be embedded via The Turning Gate’s “PHP Hooks” extensibility architecture.
