It pains me to use Bridge now that I'm a LR guy. I would like to see LR have a bridge like browser for import. That part of the app is a bit weak but heck, its a 1.0 product. I agree with Stephen about the speed of iView. Its amazing how fast it is compared to Bridge (and Bridge as a browser is a lot faster than using the LR 'browers' to import). But once importation is done, got no need for Bridge.

Bridge is still way too, slow, Martin, for deadline press. When you have to go through 750 images for your PR director to send to the papers, It simply cannot compare to Photomechanic or
iViewMedia Pro for editing speed. LR is a huge improvement in workflow, now allowing me to shoot RAW images and be able to prep selects in time. While I use it for global edits, cropping, and export prep of my selects deadline press, LR is also too slow. I often get a "Loading..." message at the bottom of the screen when I am going through hundreds or thousands of images in a given library. It often can tke 15-30 seconds for this image to "crispen up" in the loading process. If you talk to the LR product manager, please let him know.

Re Tip 1 and OS X 10.4.10

Curiously, although Bridge cannot "see" LR in the Folders Panel, I was able to drag it into the Favorites Panel from the Finder, and it then worked exactly as described.

Great tips, Martin - thanks!
