Photoshop 9.0.2 Update-Update About 10.3.x Mac

As noted on the Mac Photoshop User to User forums (see original thread) there seems to be a reproducible issue with the Photoshop CS2 (9.0.2) update when installed on Mac systems running 10.3.9. The problem seems to cause an immediate crash when trying to print from Photoshop 9.0.2.

According to Dave Howe from Photoshop Q&E, they are able to reproduce the problem and engineering is looking into the problem. Adobe may be pulling the Mac 9.0.2 Update to fix the issue with system 10.3.x. There does not appear to be any issues when using Photoshop 9.0.2 to print under 10.4.x.

Note: if you have 10.3.x you may need to re-install Photoshop CS2 (9.0.0) and do the 9.0.1 update until the issue is resolved. The 9.0.2 update is still only available via Adobe Updater and is not yet posted as a download.

The Windows version of the 9.0.2 updater does not seem to have any problems reported as yet.

In the meantime, you can watch as I get the site up and running at its temporary URL http://kabili.libsyn.com. The RSS feed for Photoshop Online will be http://kabili.libsyn.com/rss .

Russell Preston Brown in Iceland-Updated

russell.jpgRussell Brown, the chief Adobe Evangelist and all round funny guy has started a photo contest-The Best Photos of Russell.

The contest is only actually open to those photographers that went on the “Lightroom Iceland Adventure” but Russell has given PhotoshopNews permission to post them so our readers can also add to the vote tally.

The winning photographer from the trip will receive an Apple iPod (probably given to Russell by Apple).
Editor’s note: We’ve added the photo credits to the images so you can see who shot which images.
