Thanks very much George. Yes, QuickTime is cool, but I simply have no need for iTunes (don’t have an MP3 player, etc.) Appreciate the efforts! And yes, of course I have already seen your excellent videos. ;)

Randy, I think you are absolutely right concerning Trevor’s anger, or at least his angry comments. That he thinks his comments are diplomatic is revealing. His denial was predictable as is his lack of logic in using Quicktime while damning iTunes. I am glad that the truly amazing Russell Brown gave him a work around that allows him to view these videos without compromising his position regarding the use of iTunes. The point, afterall is to get the info and to make use of it. I think Trevor does not fully appreciate the effect of his superfluously negative commentary on a dialogue among those who are looking for the mutual benefits of sharing information for the benefit of all.

George, I am sure that a more windows friendly format will be appreciated by many, but it is not a matter of windows friendly that appears to trouble Trevor. I know many Windows users who use iTunes ans find it to be a great program. There are people in our community who are haters. Some hate all things Microsoft and Bill Gates, while others hate all things Apple and Steve Jobs. They take a stand that is almost religious. I think that our forums are not the appropriate place for the posting of these stands. A simple request asking if there is another way to view the videos would have sufficed.

I have a suggestion for those who do not want to use iTunes to hear this Podcast.
However, you will need to have QuickTime loaded on your machine to listen to this format. Download the MPEG files with this link address with the Firefox browser.
Copy and paste this link into Firefox.
Firefoxe will download the linked file to your desktop.

Open the downloaded file into Quicktime and enjoy the show.

Thanks very much for the reply Martin. I am aware that iTunes is free, and while I am very interested in viewing these podcasts, I have no intention of installing iTunes. Please consider making them available in MOV format (like PhotoshopTV, Command-N, etc.). Thanks for your consideration!

Please understand that the Adobe Lightroom podcasts are designed to be playable on an iPod (hence the name podcast) or can be played trough Apple iTunes. iTunes is software you can download for free for Mac or PC. Free, as in you don’t have to pay for it or have to buy an iPod.
