Source: Photoshop Support Knowledgebase
Issue
When you select File > Browse in Photoshop CS2, Photoshop returns the error message: “Error 2: Photoshop is undefined. Line:1 – photoshop.invokeBridge (false, false)”.
Details
You are using Mac OS 10.4.x and are logged in as a Standard User.
Solution: Download the Adobe Library 1 Update for Bridge Scripts and the Adobe Photoshop Services Update
1. Start Photoshop CS2. If an error message displays, then click OK; the application will start.
2. Go to Help > Updates.
3. Under Bridge, select the Adobe Library 1 Update for Bridge Scripts and the Adobe Photoshop Services Update.
4. Install the updates.
Background Information
Users must have Read & Write access to the Launch and StartupScripts folders in order for the Adobe Help Center to launch from within Adobe Creative Suite 2.0 applications. A previous update to Adobe Bridge changes the permissions settings on those folders, restricting access for non-administrative users.
The current updates for Adobe Bridge will reset the permissions to Read&Write for all required folders.
